Sustainability

For more than a decade, the main focus of my work has been sustainability. My roles have included consulting, sustainability assurance, market and network building, public affairs and building new business.

My strengths as a sustainability expert:

• Thorough legislative expertise (incl. climate policy, CSRD/ESRS, Green Claims, CSDDD, CBAM)
• Knowledge of key sustainability standards. I have a GRI certificate and am trained in ISO 14001 and 45001. I am also familiar with several other standards though my work (incl. ISO 26000, 14060 series, 30415, TCFD, CDP)
• Familiarity with the Finnish public funding system for green innovations.
• Versatile industry expertise, particularly of heavy industry, energy production and energy technology, and mobility, as well as extensive expertise of climate and social responsibility topics.
• Knowledge of the political dimension of sustainability
• Experience of successful stakeholder work

Leadership, strategy, transformation

I have led teams, organizations and decision-making bodies and been responsible for budgets of varying sizes for 20 years. Along the way, I have experienced many tight spots, big transformations and several strategy processes.

I do have an actual university degree, but I like to say that founding my first company, leading it for eight years, and then selling it was my ”real-life business degree”. And my years as angel investor and startup board member were my ”real-life MBA”.
